thanks to Martin for providing the picture and James Dartiailh for successfully winning the auction at the dinner dance. £130 has been transferred to the MacMillan charity, a splendid result.

I remember him being very "prominent" when we did the nude calendar at Silverstone. Not sure how you fit that into an obituary

24h-Race / Re: This years SPA 24 hour race
October 31, 2017, 20:31:07
Spa is the best track in the world and good value for UK cars. I do not understand why more cars do not take it up, equally, why don't the Classiques come to the UK, I'm sure a good encouraging deal could be had. The C1s weren't a problem for me and I'm delighted how reliable our car was. That's the 10th 24 hour race that engine has done (and the second behind the MIM gearbox - thanks). I love Spa

I believe you can get an extra signature if you marshal an event. If you want to build a hybrid you will need more time than is available. Weve raced a UK spec car for the last 5 years at Spa and that's been quite entertaining. There are some foibles like you need up to spec underwear and an in date seat, but generally is pretty chilled

Agreed, loved the event, it was good to get the circuit in the first place and spectacularly entertaining when we got there. Thank you to everyone involved in organising it. Last night was also brilliant, I just wish I could remember it.

Nice toes - we are truly doomed  ??? :o ::)

I must confess to not wishing to be left out and assuming Tick Tock survives Snetterton, Rosie Racing will be going to Spa also. It is an amazing event

Thank you for the congrats. Its the first time in 22 years that complete incompetence hasn't got in the way. I am confident normal service will be resumed at Snetterton  ::). Very well done to Luca

I appreciate no dates are perfect,  but The clash with the 2cv international is a bit of a problem for me

General Discussion / Re: RIP Alain from 2CVRT

That is really sad. Katy made a big impression on him, in all the wrong ways. In the pub on the Sunday night after the race, she said she was going home, he put his hand on her shoulder and said "Belgium will be safe now". Really good bloke and a sad loss
