I agree - that really was an intense race. Perhaps because of the good weather, perhaps because of the fact that people have put a lot of effort into the carbs this year due to the regulation change, but the pace of the race was so bloody quick. I've said it to a few people but that's the hardest I've worked in a race car since I started racing - and that was EVERY minute of EVERY stint, not just here and there.

A few safety cars for a few breakdowns but not too many crashed, I'm relieved to say, and.... no one rolled?

I think the standard of driving this year was excellent. Some cars were off the pace a little from time to time, but everyone was looking in their mirrors, and some of the towing we all shared in down the straights was brilliant - special thanks to a few people - Peter in Gadget2, Anthony Wilds, Pete and Jon from Sealion, and a few more I'm sure - for sharing a tow with me in my stints. We definitely didn't have the fastest car out there, but with a good tow we were rocking around Snett!

Hope to be in the same position year! Thanks everyone for the great messages of support, and we feel really proud to have finally broken our duck :)

I think the pace was a significant difference to last year! Most people about 3 seconds a lap quicker (apart from us).......time to get a Weber????  :o

We were still on a Solex, all is not yet lost!
