As Mervyn has stated in a recent email, there is a compulsory driver's briefing for 2CVs before qualifying (details are in your final instructions).

It is also worth noting that the instructions state you must attend a new driver's briefing if you have not raced on the circuit in operation - i.e. the International circuit. This is the one with the banked Shell Oils hairpin (basically the longest track configuration). I know for a fact I haven't raced on this layout before so I'm guessing a lot of us haven't. As it's being held just before the 2CV briefing, in the same room, I would suggest you attend if you are unsure.

And non-attendance could cost you £170.00 per briefing.....

It's looking like a fairly manic day!

Which of the timetables are we to follow? The draft one is still on the BARC website as I write this and the one we've received through the post is different. As it is going to be a mad rush on the day some clarification would be helpful, particularly as we need to factor in the briefings.

Thanks
Adam

Adam
Always follow the one included with your final instructions, so long as it's revision number is higher than the one on BARC website.

ALSO..... Check the programme that you will get when you sign on as this is the OFFICIAL timetable, any changes will be communicated by way of a buletin issued by race control..

Thanks Trevor.

I wonder how the grid will be drawn for the non-championship race? A reverse grid based on qualifying for the championship races would mix things up a bit!

Chris Yates

Fear not Adam, there's a separate qualifying session for the non-championship race!

Scooterman

Perhaps the meeting will end up in the scrutineering whilst we are all waiting there? I'm thinking of having a urinary device put in the car as it'll be the only time for a toilet break ;). I'm sure all of you seasoned campaigners have endured and enjoyed many a chaotic race day, slightly daunting for someone of limited experience and car that historically is a royal pain on race day.
