How about the race 'sponsor' actually sponsoring i.e. paying considerably towards the cost of the race as is usually the case for a large event such as this one. The cost of entering the race could then be less for all competitors and this should make more people want to race. If the 'Club Cam' is supposed to be better than the 'Standard Cam' then what is the problem with using it as an engine change during the race will loose you a lot of time anyway. If the top three cars do not have a 'Club Cam' or an unaltered 'Standard Cam' at the end of the race they would be disqualified anyway. Problem Solved.
