Just a point on the championship status of drivers ..... the majority of people who enter the 24 hour race are non-championship drivers. A good number of cars each year do not have a single championship driver in them. So nothing changes in terms of championship v's non-championship runners, apart from the fact that an engine change to an 03 spec engine might alter the status of a driver who would otherwise have qualified for championship points.
