Can anyone tell me what the classes of cars were and what the differences are please?

Thanks,
Dave

Trevor Williams

Dave,
For this year, andprobably this year only there were two classes

Championship and Economy

Championship run to the 2005 2CV regulations (club cam is the main requirement)

Economy run to the same regs but can use a STANDARD 2CV camshaft and standard 2CV flywheel unmodified. These cars were not eligible to score points for the 2CV Enduro Challenge

Dave,

As far as I am aware, there were 3 cars in the economy class:

Hollis Motorsport
Four Lemons & Orange
Millgate Racing

Was Le Poulet Rouge not in Economy?

Dave,
Definately not!!! the cams in all the engines are club cams and the flywheels are modified

Thanks Trevor.   I think I assumed that because of the pace of some of the other cars.

we won the enconomy class and came 9th overall. Thanks to niggellspeed for a great engine. Richard. Hollis Motorsport

We ran hybrid engines -  Econopionships!

We started the race with an allegedly Championship engine but with standard flywheel.

After it had been buzzed - thanks, Graham - it was replaced with one that had some Championship parts, like the cam and flywheel.
It also had fitted - in error - standard pistons, hence our slowness down the straights!

We'll get it right next year by using Champonomy engines!
