Sorry, but are we talking about drag racing then.
* Are there no corners on a circuit?
* Someone seems to think that going fast round a circuit is all about HP. True makes a bit of difference.
* Knowing when to change gear also makes a difference, by using the engine's differing abilities at points on a track.
* Why do we all use adjustable dampers if going fast is about engine power alone. (We'll throw them away then, save some cash for new cams).
* Has mr. A. nonymous forgotton exhausts can be so beneficial or detrimental. But it takes testing to find the right type for your engine setups.
* Oh and the nut behind the wheel makes a difference too!

I still believe buying a road car and thrashing the wheel nuts off it, day in day out, actually learning how to drive a 2cv properly might help.
Golf GTI drivers still dont like it when my standard road car has them into, round and out of a round-about. (Neither does the missus when she's in the car!!!)

Buy one and drive it. Cant expect to be schumacher without practise.

It's all about the entire package, not just one element alone.
