As Trevor mentioned in another topic, there should be some people on this forum that experimented with installing a twin carb setup in a 2cv.
I am very eager to learn more about the installation and technical aspects of this setup. Can anyone provide some more info or perhaps a forum topic/website where such a setup is explained?

Thanks!

TRY LOOKING ON EBAY FOR A BOOK IN THE 2CV CATOGEROY THE BOOK CALLED( ITS NOT A MOUSE BUT A LION )IN THIS TUNING BOOK IT TELL YOU WHAT CARBS TO USE .IF YOU WHAT TO USE TWIN CARBS USE MOTOGUZZI 750 -1000 CARBS AND MANIFOLDS .IF USING ON 602 ENGINE IT WAS FOUND OUT IF RUN WITHOUT AIRFILTERS NO RE JETTING WAS REQUIRED.IF YOU DONT RUBBER MOUNT THEM THOUGH YOU MIGHT GET PETROL FROFFING IN THE FLOAT BOWLS OF THE CARBS.

I've given this some thought over the past few months (since going to Spa, in fact) and decided that the best carbs to use would probably be FZ Yamaha ones as they're angled almost to the vertical - a nice straight inlet. The only difficulty with this is that they're in a bank and only one is cable-operated;the other 3 are linked to it by shafts. Don't know about Guzzi ones (Dell'Orto, presumably), but I doubt whether there's enough of a bend in the manifold to allow them to sit as flat as is intended on the 2CV engine.

There was a test of CB500 Honda carbs a couple of years ago; I don't know what the outcome was.

Anyway, my outcome is that I've decided to build a fuel injection system.

The cb 500 carbs showed no worthwhile gain on the rollers although on the track they did.

DEREK WOULD BE INTRESTED IN HOW YOU ARE BUILDING YOUR INJECTION SYSTEM,AND HOW YOU SET IT UP AND HOW IT RUNS.
IF IT TURNS OUT ALRIGHT I MIGHT TRY AND FIT A SIMILAR SYSTEM TO MY ROAD GOING TRIKE.
I KNOW NORTHALLERTON TUNERS WERE EXPERIMENTING WITH A SYSTEM BY THE LOOKS OF THEIR SITE,BUT KNOW MORE INFORMATION WAS POST ON THEIR WEBSITE.ANYWAY GOOD LUCK WITH SYSTEM.
