Dear forum users,

This is some advance notice of the following;

1) You will receive a club logbook from myself or a member of the Technical Committee. This will be in a plastic wallet and stuck to you passenger door (front or rear). This needs to remain in the car for the remainder of the season.

2) The technical committee will come and visually inspect your car at some point during the meeting - ideally before qualifying. The inspection is to assist in the compliance of all cars to the rules set out in the CR's. Seeing has we have not had an inspection like this for some years, we do not expect to look at every part of your car. We will be focusing on tanks guards (being fitted), fan guard spacing from engine cowling, lighting bar bracing at the bottom (horizontal support bar), alternator belt covers fitted with holes cut for alternator belt tensioning access. Any non-compliance will be recorded in the new style logbook. I attach one as an example for your benefit. As the technical committee are volunteers made up of fellow racers we have no objections to our cars being looked at and we hope everyone will take this in the spirit it is intended which is to help this unique one make series be strong and successful for many more years to come.

3) A case of beer will be given to each 2CV race car that makes it to Brands Hatch to make up for the fact there was no club BBQ. Please enjoy responsibly  :)

Any questions about the first two points to [email protected] / 07891 017873. Any questions about the beer to Nick Roads please.

I've copied rule 6.3.3 below for your information:

Thanks Rcihard
6.3.3 The Technical Committee of the Classic 2CV Racing Club, will from time to time, visually inspect competitors cars and it is a mandatory requirement that competitors facilitate such inspections. This Technical Committee may also advise the Eligibility Scrutineer on such matters which may potentially contravene these regulations. As a result if the Eligibility Scrutineer feels that the regulations have been breached then he may request ballast to be carried until compliance is achieved.
