Budget for 24hr race

Hello All, With the 24hr race coming up I would be very interested to know what ball park figure would be required to secure a seat, I have one or two racing friends who are also interested in this and before we actively start knocking on doors so to speak it would be a good idea to have the funds sorted out.
Any pointers would appreciated.

Hi Ivan,

Race entry for the whole car is £3750 this year. So split that between 3/4 drivers. Fuel bills tend to range from about £600-800, might be a little more this year given current world events.
Plus tyres, prep time and catering.

There's not really a set price, each team will charge slightly differently depending on the drivers needs/requirements.

Thank you for replying. I was hoping for some of the teams to offer an estimation, it is rather difficult to budget for an arrive and drive 24hrs race without knowing what the budget is. I do not want to waste any ones time by approaching them to discuss terms and then backing out almost imediately if the budget is beyond my means.

I would guess that engine rebuilds are also factored in as well as consumables and possibly catering?

Hi Ivan, I've only just seen your message and I'm surprised that no one has got back to you apart from George. With numbers down a bit this year I would have thought someone would have contacted you earlier. Obviously for this year it's a bit late to sort out. But for next year if you can get 3 or 4 drivers together I'm sure a car can be made available. Budget wise this year is going to be 2keach for a 4 driver team.
That would be car fuel food etc

I can only apologise for the lack of contact or response as I've not really been on the forum.But I am amazed that you have not had a better response from other teams. Like I say give me a call.Wven if you want to come and experience the event, we could use another hand and feed you. I would also give you an insight into what the weekend is about.
