Information needed for 2006 24 hour race

:lol: Hi,
     I am now helping Paul Robertson with the organising of the 24 hour race at Snetterton next year 2006. This message is being sent to most of the entrants from 2005. Please respond by indicating your position for 2006. I will need to know the following :

Name of team/s
Car number
Team principal
Contact info for above. E-mail/Mobile/land line/address

The race for 2006 will be different in several respects mainly dictated by the probable date we have. Assumimg that the provisional date of the weekend Saturday 29th April is confirmed then the likely date of the our first meeting prior to the 24 hour race would be the weekend Saturday of the 8th April 2006 or even the 1st April.
Please consider the following
a. If the first meeting is an enduro event [as requested at the AGM] being used by several teams as a test for the 24hour then preperation time from January  is only going to               be 3 months or 12 weekends.
b. Budgeting for the race is also reduced.
c. You will drive for an extra TWO hours in darkness.
d. It will be colder through the night [think crew and pitlane helpers] and possibly more inclement weather during the light hours.

With regard to finance it is assumed the race entry per car will remain at £1400. The club is trying to help with an initative similar to last year. Payment to the 2CV Racing club is required either in instalments of in full by 12th April 2006. We will be looking for an initial payment of £200 before January 12th 2006 to secure a grid position and garage allocation. Further payments would be needed on the 12th of the following three months IE Feb/March and April of £400 per month. Raffle tickets will be allocated to be determined by the speed of payment. The draw will take place at the club BBQ on the Friday evening prior to the race. FIVE teams will win race fuel for the entire 24 hour race [Max 12 x 20 litre jerry cans]

A meeting has been set in December 2005 with BARC which should resolve most matters.

It is also proposed that hire cars will be available.
