Before croft a technical bulletin was issued and then withdrawn and I understand that none of the changes would be implemented for this round or the remainder of the season. Now final instructions are out for Anglesey are out and rules have changed again........... Can anyone explain what rules I should be reading ?

I haven't received that Ash, what's in it?

Having seen it i can see why you would be confused Ash,especially given the bulletin on the front page of the website signed by Ian Watson.

7 Safety Rules
7.1 The fitting of heat sinks to the front brake calipers to be allowed
7.2 Any undertray guards on the car must only serve to protect the engine and the fuel tank and
therefore should be mounted within the area of the chassis only and should not protrude from the
chassis legs.
7.3 To allow a rectangular section floor-bar of 50mm x 25mm x 3mm wall rectangular box section to
be fitted across the front legs of the roll cage.
7.4 It is mandatory that a tank guard be fitted to protect the fuel tank
7.5 Electrically heated windscreens may be used in this event

As the supplementary regs say they are for the race I have pulled out a few highlights for me that make me not want to sign the entry form and accept them.

4.4  Electricity for all front-line support activities behind garages numbered 1-6 and 17-22 may be
taken from the garages (across the fire lane) but only if they are covered with flexible rubber covers(at
least 10m in length). Uncovered cables represent atrip hazard.

10 metres that can't be right that's 30 feet! they only come in 10 foot lengths

5.2  Teams must use their Tuff Jug during the race for all refueling activities.
This appears to include Euro cars

6.4  Competitors are reminded that cars shall have aminimum weight of 655kg inclusive of the driver
at all times during and at completion of qualifyingand racing.

At ALL times? Really? So during the race you lose a wing, change an engine,or even as simple as change a driver and you are not compliant with this rule

As for the 50 lap penalty if you are under you should be out.

7.2  Any  undertray  guards  on  the  car must  only  serve to  protect  the  engine  and  the fuel tank  and
therefore  should  be  mounted  within  the  area  of  the  chassis  only  and  should  not  protrude  from  the
chassis legs.

What is an undertray guard? Is it a guard for an undertray? i hope so! As this is a SAFETY regulation i understand all cars including Euro cars will have to comply as these are supplementary regulations for the event that apply to all cars.
Surely we can't have unsafe cars with undertray guards racing alongside safe cars that have removed their undertray guards?

Quoted from 5.37
  Competitors are reminded that safety
is paramount.

If anyone else disagrees with the supplementary regulations and feels they have been coerced into agreeing to them by signing the entry form please feel free to come and see me at the circuit or email me and we can discuss protesting them.
