Dear all.
I have compiled a rather smashing racing car parts list for you all to look at inbetween polishing my silverware (makes my wrist ache I can tell you).
Please have a look at my handy work as it took longer than it should due to not saving it in the first place. Can you let Dick or myself know if there are things you have made or are having made or you have seen for sale that should be included on the list.
Like wise if there are people suppling bits on the list that are not listed please pipe up and you will be included if I like you.
The club officials, such as they are,are currently making a list of known repairers to put up on the site so that race club virgins or those normally to tight to have work done by professionals (Mick) can find a suitable person to help them get their car repaired or set up.
Yet another fantastic idea brought to you by the 2cv racing club - the club that cares about you.
As you can tell I'm stuck in again on a saturday night because my wife is ill and I have to kid sit and get pills because even though she has a cough it seems to have stopped her legs from working.I have had two separate invites out to parties tonight and I'm stuck in.Gutted or what.
The older I get, the more rubbish I talk

Hello Pete!

Glad you mentioned it was silverware making your wrist ache...!

Solution to invite crisis - if you were in bed ill what would your wife do? Gives you what you should have done!

Where can this magical list be found?

Catherine
:D

Its not all silverware polishing, some of it is down to being married for a while.Anyone else nodding their head in agreement?
Parts list can be found under 'come racing' I believe.

Ohh, cool. It's a minor point but any chance you could give the columns headings? Took me a while to figure out that 'No', 'Yes', and so on meant compulsory for racing. Just a thought.

Can't comment on the married front, single!

Hi Pete,

I went for option 5, which was "stay in with some beers and build bicycle wheels". This could probably be tied in with option 1 quite successfully.

Any ideas on tyre suppliers, or are they (the Michelins) fairly generally available?

Also barrel machining/shims, 9:1 pistons, rollcages.....can't think of anything else at the moment.

Derek.
I have added to the parts list items you mentioned to the best of my ability. Thanks, this is what its all about.
All
how sucessful the parts list becomes will depend on how much info you lot send back to me about various business/people  that you have used sucessfully when getting work done.
The other thing that we are starting to organise is a list of 2cv RC recognised repairers. If you know of any one that you believe should be included that will help with race car repairs (not just a plug for someones local garage) please pass it on to Dick or myself
