Hello

2CVTV are posting as-they-happen live reports from Snetterton again this year.... have a look on the club's web site to see the full illustrated story.

Friday 28th April mid-day report

There are 33 cars on the grid; most of the teams have arrived are setting up for the race. The weather is breezy, cool and dry.

A poll carried out by 2cvtv shows the most teams believe that they will finish in the top five. Shaun McLaughlin's team as the favourite, closely following by Tete Rouge and of course Gary Adnitt. However, the dark horse is Richard Dalton - will he, won't he race? If he does that might change the betting.

The hog for the hog roast has arrived accompanied by a very large number of buns, which will all disappear very quickly. Arrangements for the charity auction to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care is being made.

Today is a track day and is very busy, but there is time for the 2cv teams to practice, which gives the cars a useful last minute test and allows the rookie drivers to get used to the track (and the cars in many cases).

Everyone is very positive and looking forward to a great race. As ever drivers who normally race other cars are joining in this unique opportunity to drive a classic and iconic car in a 24 hour race.

The 'build a race car from scratch' event has started. The Simply the Breast sale of T-shirts, scarves etc is progressing well.

The weather forecast is dry and cool.

The next report will be posted shortly.

Best wishes, 2CVTV
