Right,
I've had a very bad day at work, so all of you are going to suffer as well!!!

Before the first race of the season I require all of you who own club camshafts to inform me of the serial numbers of the camshaft, together with details of which engine they are in if appropriate.

This information will form a register of the club camshafts which can be compared to the records that we have at Kent Cams

Failure to supply the information may result in you getting to know our new scrutineer very well, very quickly

Cheers

Trevor can you remind me where the number on the cam is stamped please?  I take it we don't need to disassemble the engine to get it?

Trevor Williams

Francis,
The number is stamped on the oil pump end of the camshaft. To access it while still in the engine you have to remove the Clutch, flywheel and the oil pump cover. You should then see the number stamped on the end of the cam

The cam number should also be stamped on the crankcase. On the top near the drilled bolt somewhere, I think?

Geoff Archer

now were in the regs says that??

Don't know, but I do remember it as being part of the Great Camshaft Scenario. So I did it.

Trevor Williams

Geoff
It is in the wording of the camshaft scheme and by implication it must be done

So far I have received the sum total of seven camshaft numbers. That includes my four engines!!

Please get this information to me ASAP

73, 91 and 92. I have another one; it's in an engine at Bill's and it'll be either 90 or 93 but I don't know which. 73 was originally Katie Croucher's, I think; it and another were retrieved from the bins at Snetterton one year. Do you want the number of the other saved-from-a-bin one too? I don't have the cam, though.

Trevor Williams

Derek
All numbers of cams in your possesion please
Thanks

Thanks Andy

There are still a lot of gaps in the information that I hold on who has possession of which camshafts

Unless you want your time at Brands to be taken up with providing me the information I suggest people start providing it sooner rather than later!!

Cheers
