I have copied christines post into a forum where it can be commented on.
This post was a surprise to me this morning ,as although i am on the board i was not informed of these descisions.
Whatever the reasonings are behind the wish to make them i cannot see how, without the full agreement of the registered competitors and an egm, this technical rule change can occur.
If however the board feels that it does not want to invest the clubs money in buying a stock of kits that is the boards decision and not the same as saying" it won't be used"
The proposal for a new carb was posted on here in july last year, that gave those that didn't want it plenty of time to get those that agreed with them to attend the agm and vote against it.This did not happen, the carb may well be required to stand a chance of winning but not actually to racing, as it is not mandatory.

Urgent notice re. 2010 season« on: Today at 09:24:17 »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As most of you are aware I spent MOnday ringing members to canvass their opinions in order to inform a comittee meeting last night.  A formal notice is currently being drafted for members and should be issued tonight or tomorrow but in the mean time please be aware of the following points:-

Contrary to the current memberhsip application form... the entry fee for the season contiinues to be £1290 not the increased late entry fee.

The fees for entering individual race meetings will be £360.  A form is currently being draghted and will be issued as soon as possible.  Steve Panas will be handling these entries NOT BARC as stated on the original form.

Toyo tyres are confirmed as being the only tyre usuable for racing in 2010 as previsouly detailed.

the Webber carburettor will NOT be introduced this year.

Please note that this is only an interim / informal notice, a formal notice is being drafted and will be available as soon as possible.
