No regulation regarding HANS.
other than that it's pretty standard.
Should all be covered in the blue book.

Hi,

You will of course need the Overalls, Gloves, Helmet, License. Im not sure if boots are mandatory but i cant remember etc.  Helmet and Overalls are subject to an expiry date so be aware if buying second hand.  I'm Not sure about underwear, but all these should be available from the MSA/BARC Websites and/or, if you have already joined the BARC, from the Blue book you recieve.

WRT neck protection:

Neck Protection devices are not mandatory in 2cv racing, (for how long who knows?) but of course if you wish to wear one then that is your choice.  Several drivers over the years have worn the cushion type neck supports that simply wrap around and fasten with velcro.  A few racing members also have HANS Devices, but these are an expensive addition.  Not only do you have to make sure that the Harness (which is also subject to expiry dates) is compatible, (they are readily available at no real extra cost) and properly adjusted to suit them, but the helmet also becomes more expensive due to having fitting points built in.
The one down side (against the gross positive) is that a HANS does take slightly longer to get strapped in during enduro driver changes, but with practise is not really noticable.

Hope this gets you started.

You really want to have a bash (poor choice of wording apologies) before the 24 if you can. A to get the hang of the cars and B get to know a few people. this way will make the 24 easier and more enjoyable. get your licence then post back that you fancy a drive perhaps the non championship  round at Mallory? someone might just find a spot for you..
