we are currently rebuilding our car for 2012 season and the engine we are fitting has the blue msa seal on the crankhalves bolt, but one of the wires has broken, but the engine hasnt been split. what is the correct protocol to get a new seal fitted and is there a cost to get this done.

also is it possible to hire scrutineers to check the car over before the season starts, i think they are listed in the blue book.

cheers, Ian.

Would certainly be interested in this if its the case. Last thing I want is to turn up and fail having entered!

Build the car according to the regulations and it won't fail! Read everything carefully...

There isn't a charge for fitting the seal to the engine.
