The club is having a Bar-B-Q on saturday 9th May which co-incides with the 20th anniversary of the first 2CV Race.

Please bring your own seats and booze

To help with the catering numbers please let Jill Myatt know if you are coming and with the number in your party.

Look forward to seeing you there

Is there anything else planned for the Saturday?

It would be helpful if folk could bring there own plates & cutlery, although we will have some paper plates & plastic cutlery.

Don't forget to let me know numbers so that I buy enough food!

;D

Well, apart from drinking is there anything else happening? I wondered if there was going to be a 2CVGB rally too (there was talk of it), but according to their calendar

http://2cvgb.co.uk/forum/calendar.php?s=78f80748310c9fb8d1d7c6f29af685fe&month=5&year=2009&c=1&do=displaymonth

there's not.

If there's a day of things to do I'll come down on Friday but if not I'll set off on Saturday morning.

We could not agree a price with Mallory and did not feel we could risk over £11000 of the club's money so we decided thay could sell the track day elsewhere.  :'(

Everybody who is going to the celebrations - have a good one!  Sorry I won't be sharing a wet and windy weekend camping with you all - I was at the first race as a spectator, then bought Graham Harpers car and thus created the famous Wee Fiona. There's a surprising number of original racers still going strong - I seem to remember young carefree chaps called Sparrow and Dalton amongst others (Darryl Stokes? Tim/Royce Grey. The sadly-missed Ian Gammon-Hardoway with Annie and the Italian-sounding girl?). Hope the race on sunday is as good as that first one!
